The FLEC recognizes the unique financial circumstances that servicemembers, veterans, and military families face and the need for consumer protections to ensure their financial readiness.

  • Office of Military Compensation and Financial Readiness

The Department of War (DoW) Financial Readiness (FINRED) program, under the Office of Military Compensation and Financial Readiness (MC&FR), helps Service members and their families become informed military consumers by providing resources on military-specific consumer protections, including the Military Lending Act (MLA) and Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). MC&FR also offers the Military Compensation Education Campaign (MCEC) to help the military community better understand the full value of military compensation and benefits, empowering them to make informed financial decisions and strengthen their financial well-being.
