FINANCIAL LITERACY AND EDUCATION COMMISSION PUBLIC MEETING
The latest public meeting of the Financial Literacy and Education Commission (FLEC) was held on April 10, 2024, from 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM Eastern Time.
Treasury’s Acting Assistant Secretary for Financial Institutions Laurie Schaffer chaired the meeting on behalf of the Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen and was joined by Rohit Chopra, Director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, who serves as Vice Chair of the FLEC.
The meeting featured a panel discussion on access to financial services for New Americans, including immigrants and refugees, as well as a spotlight discussion on access to financial services and products for Muslim and Arab Americans.
